Euro is the currency used in 19 European Union countries. It is abbreviated as EUR and has a symbol €. Lithuania is also a member of the European Union, but it currently uses its own currency, the Lithuanian Litas (LT). However, Lithuania adopted the euro as its official currency on January 1, 2015, replacing the litas. The exchange rate between the euro and the litas during the transition period was fixed at €1 = LT 3.45280. After the transition was completed, the euro became the only legal tender in Lithuania. Therefore, there is no exchange rate between the euro and the litas anymore.
